Much as I'd like to pretend to be Dan Erlewine, I actually prefer a magnifier lamp to the opti-visor things. Turns out that I spend far more time searching around the workbench for a pair of hemostats or a knife (or another soldering aid when the first one flips over onto the floor) than I do actually soldering or working on small parts. So the swing-arm fluorescent magnifier lamp stays over the workpiece while my eyes are free to roam the rest of the workbench for tools or notes without flipping up the flipping visor. Then again, I've got those "progressive" lenses which are really just tri-focals for vain people who don't want the lines to show...

Oh and sorry about that photo web server thing. Must be the ferniculator valve; you'll have to use the Litmus configur-er-ation.

If the web server problem was a car I'd be suggesting you check the blinker fluid, but outside of connecting to the net I know nothing about it. :D

    Regards,

    Don

It's all ball bearings these days. Hope Dikkers (edit) gets the server stuff sorted. I'm kind of going into stripper-dust withdrawal.

I sat down today prepared to read this whole thread again, and, you know, take really good notes this time (a sparkle Cabronita is floating in my head), but I too was taken aback by the lack of pictures.

Here's to a speedy server recovery!

Silver Burst, like that new FSR MIM, only with sparkles. That would be nice.

Am I the only one who is thinking that a) This should probably be renamed to 'The Never-Ending Build Thread'... ;) and that b) Ol' Bucko seems to be dropping hints lately that something a bit different is coming? Maybe he's decided that he's going to try and build something as different as possible from the Emeraldcaster...? Or, maybe, he's just going to rebuild the Emeraldcaster with slightly different binding and one less green flake. I wonder...

    None of the above.

    More of the same.

For me there is no better place to share what I do than right here.

The photos have disappeared simply because I run them on a server at work that is very far down on my list of things to do.

I'm doing 10-14 hour days right now and that is barely keeping my head above water on getting the mission-critical things working.

Just can't justify the time to get the DNS problems on my photo server ironed out.

    Soon I hope.

    Soon.

So much that I want to share.

It is all about learning for me and sharing with the rest of you.

    Cheers
    :)
