Much as I'd like to pretend to be Dan Erlewine, I actually prefer a magnifier lamp to the opti-visor things. Turns out that I spend far more time searching around the workbench for a pair of hemostats or a knife (or another soldering aid when the first one flips over onto the floor) than I do actually soldering or working on small parts. So the swing-arm fluorescent magnifier lamp stays over the workpiece while my eyes are free to roam the rest of the workbench for tools or notes without flipping up the flipping visor. Then again, I've got those "progressive" lenses which are really just tri-focals for vain people who don't want the lines to show... Oh and sorry about that photo web server thing. Must be the ferniculator valve; you'll have to use the Litmus configur-er-ation.
