It's been posted before but overdue for a repost and listen.

The original single was released in August, 1967. I was 13 soon to be 14 and my tastes ran more toward the Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, etc. but I freely admit to turning up the radio when this one came on. Good memories.

Compare with the Cowsills live in 1967, pretty good actually

Definitely overdue for a repost. I was 17 and working in Montréal in the fall of 1967. This song was waaay up there on the Top 40 AM hit parade. The Cowsills came through Montréal on tour about that time. I didn't go see them (sighs with regret) but wish now that I had.

Here they are on Huckabee's Jukebox last year. Mike is not too shabby on the bass.

Susan, born in May of 1959, is about 61 here and looking mighty fine.

Is that all live, or is there a backing track for some of the background vocals? If not, that's quite impressive.

I'll always associate this song with the Dumb and Dumber dream sequence.

LOVE that song! Olde Baby Susan is still strumming away! Think she's down the road in New Orleans now.

Here's a "companion piece". I was never a big Cowsills fan, but I appreciate now what they did.

Susan Cowsill is a major talent. And a crush for me as a kid - I liked older women.
