Brilliant song by a brilliant band. The entire Starfish album is magnificent.

    Great reference.^

Not a bagpipe. Ebow/Jazzmaster to Sinclavier.

"Under the Milky Way" features a 12-string acoustic guitar melody along with a solo composed with an EBow on a FenderJazzmaster, and recorded on a Synclavier, leading to a sound reminiscent of bagpipes.[3

Great simple song that I've been wanting to string up my 12 string just to play it.

Man, that whole album is badass. The live dvd is on the YT & they nail it straight thru. MWP & Koppes are great to watch play.

Saw Kilby play this with Greg Dulli & Mark Lanegan a few years ago. That song really holds up well.

I was going to mention trev333 but I'd figure he'd chime in.

Great band. Saw them live several times in the 80s and early 90s. As bender says, they really had the two guitar thing down.

The Church are alive and touring without MWP.... and doing OK with Andrew Hoag ex/Powderfinger... a great guitarist in his own right..:)

MWP didn't want to get back on the bus.... too busy doing other things, I think he's in Sweden these days?......
