Been thinking about giving this one a shot after the sad news of Guy Clark, so here it is. Kind of ran out of voice at the end, but that happens a lot in this song for me...

(Another swing at just sitting down and recording here, using a pair of Shure Beta 57a mics.)

(Of course) I had to google for Guy Clark, but I like your track very much. Your voice sounds very emotional, you definitely should do more singing.

Thanks for the listens and comments. In the full light of day I can say I probably should have forgone that glass (was it one or 2?) of "1-w-Harper" before dinner and stuck with water, but, well, there you go :).

Ullrich, there's a thread over in BDC that has a lot of good links and some music videos. He was a builder of guitars, too - really creative person.

Thanks again. I have to say I'm more impressed with the quality of sound from two relatively inexpensive mics intended for live sound applications. I realize I have spent a lot of money on mics (all now on loan to a friend's studio), that I could have squandered on something else!
