Ehhhhhh. I’ve been known to wrap a tortilla around just about any savory food in the house and even work in an ice cream taco once in a while.
Flour tortillas are used for burritos - I've never seen anything else in over 40 years of living in Southern CA. I couldn't imagine a corn tortilla big enough or pliable enough to make even a small a burrito.
Same, I was re-riffing on the above exchange about flour tortillas being "the mark of gringo food."
In order to make it clear you are joking, You need to include a short video of Mexicans talking about McDonald's breakfast burrito.

That's why the Mexicans invented Salsa. It was to enhance the flavor of the world famous Chihuahua Burrito! Or one might just refer to it as the Perro Deluxe Burrito!
i went radical today. i added diced tomatoes with green peppers. it was soooo good!
so scramled eggs, bacon bits, pepper jack cheese with jalapenos, small amount of shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes. i think i might open a restaurant. i'll make a fortune.
Go fusion and use gochujang on your burrito.

Good to hear! Now see if you can get some green chiles (the little cans are fine, and you’re not likely to find them any other way in Kentucky). Green chiles and eggs are a match made in heaven.
Once you get acclimated to eating actual food, you'll never go back to fast 'food'.
I won't get into the tortilla debate: I would be hopelessly outnumbered because I just, for some reason, don't like corn. Chips are fine, tortillas no if I can avoid them-- and I can.
Green chiles however, even canned, make almost anything better!!
I don't know about the gringo food. I do know there is one thing we are never going to run short of here in California, and that's Mexicans (cause they were here first, I know that because I used to watch the Cisco Kid). I like the burritos better that they make than ANYONE'S burritos, 'cause they always make their own flour tortillas to make the burritos with. My friend Jamie used to invite me to supper, and his sister and mother could whip up a batch of tortillas in record time! You would use the tortillas as a spoon, a knife and fork, and anything on the table went in them. The only utensils on the table were in the bowls the stuff that went in the tortillas came out of.
Back around 1979-1980, my dad had his own business in what is now called Deep East Texas.
For a time, he employed a number of Mexican gentlemen, who were gracious to me in spite of the fact that I was a teenage kid who wanted anything BUT to be working his a** off for his dad his last two summers in high school.
I remember vividly the guys cooking tacos, usually pork or chicken, and making their own flour tortillas, and I ate with them any time I was beckoned in.
Got a lot of free meals for a kid who knew very little Spanish beyond "gracias". They knew I'd work as many hours as they did, and we respected each other. It was a different era.
Today I had meetings in Denver and they brought in breakfast burritos. I was surprised how similar they tasted to breakfast tacos. At first I was confused because they kept talking about chili. People in Denver think sauce is chili. It was tasty so I didn’t correct them.
Is that NC word for rubber?
