I just picked up a Boss Waza pedal--the CE-2W. My local shop treats me right--when I asked about it a week ago, they put it aside and said they'd hold it for a week or two. I went back tonight and bought it. I havent plugged it in yet, but will do so shortly!

Sold ALL of my pedals (over 50), even the BOSS pedals.
Just got tired of messing with all the hoopla of individual pedals, patch and power cables.
This was my way of simplifying my life and downsizing my gear collection.
I picked up a BOSS GT-1000 and incorporated it into my recording rig.
Still technically a BOSS pedal

Current pedalboard: TU-2 > SD-1 >
BD-2 > TR-2 > UA Golden (had an RV6. Played the Golden. Sold the RV6) > DD-20 > RC-5

BD2 and SD1 replaced several really nice, more expensive, pedals (eg JHS Morning Glory and Kilt). The boss just sound “better”/more full/less “boxy” than the boutique gear. I do have a Snouse BB2 on the way, so we’ll see if that kicks the BD2 off, or if it just adds another color to the palette.

I started with Boss pedals. Then dabbled in boutique pedals for a bit . Finally I realized, I just really prefer Boss for most stuff. I've just never really been disappointed by a Boss pedal. They are rugged and durable. They have the best footswitches (imo anyway). But perhaps most of all I like that they generally keep it pretty simple and don't overdo it with 37 different knobs and switches. That's become a big pet peeve of mine with the pedal world. I don't need a thousand little subtle variables. Just do the effect and do it well.

Anyway, currently on my board I have a BD2, DS1, DD8, RV6 and RC1. The only non Boss pedals I have on there are a Big Muff, Zvex Double Rock and some off brand EQ that was like 20 bucks on Amazon. I'm gonna replace that with a GE7 eventually though.

Couldn’t resist the photo op. I recently had my local tech restore the HM-2, which my brother had abandoned about 25 years ago after breaking off two of the pot shafts (still worked, btw). The SD-1 is new to me and is currently in the usual place of the DS-1 - might stay that way. Long story short - I usually only have 3 Boss pedals on the board, but ‘when in Rome.’

I once had a Metal Zone for some obscure reason when I was young and just started out. Gave it away to a friend long ago and really don't miss it.

Bought a TR-2 a year or so ago and I'm really pleased with it. I want a FZ-1w and a BD-2 as well, but I don't really need em. They'll probably find their way to my board eventually somewhere in the future though But for now I'm good with just the trusty ol' TR-2. I surely love the no-nonsense and indestructable design of Boss pedals.

Hopefully I'm posting in the right place. I'm Using a Morningstar MC6 mkII to control the Assign features of my BOSS RC-500 Loopstation like this:

1. ASSIGN1 Turn on drum PART1 ON/OFF
2. ASSIGN2 Alternate between rhythm patterns FUNK3 & LATINBEAT3
3. ASSIGN3 Tap Tempo
4. ASSIGN4 All tracks and rhythm ON/OFF
5. ASSIGN5 Clear all Tracks
6. ASSIGN6 Rhythm(only) on off

Everything is working fine except ASSIGN2. When I tap the button to change from one rhythm pattern to the other, the RC-500 stops & then the previously saved patterns are changed to "SimpleBeat1" & "Blank".

How to get the RC-500 to recall the saved patterns?

I just got one of these today. The assignments youve done is a great idea! Hopefully someone answers it soon. Im trying to work out
-start playing guitar
-then record a verse loop to keep for the guitar solo
-start loop (guitar solo) stop loop
drums still playing
-stop drums

I recently bought a BD2 waza, mainly for low gain tones and I think it's a good pedal generally, but I notice a slight bass roll off when playing my Strat or Tele through my Deluxe Reverb. I was hoping it would not roll the bottom end off- pity it doesn't have seperate bass and treble controls. What's your experience with this pedal?

Yeah, I hear a slight bass cut with the bd2. I have regular bd2

One can counter this turning up the bass on your amp.

I tried the keeley mod on the bd2 but honestly I felt it changed the overall feel of the pedal and lost some magic. I like the flat, transparent, slightly bright sound of the bd2... for certain stuff.
