some of my all time favorite guitar playing.
Finally someone around here posts something good.
Thanks for posting.....if I were looking for something disgustingly offensive, utterly tasteless, and without ANY discernible redeeming qualities, I'd DEFINITELY look for more of this stuff.
These guys remind me of the Butthole Surfers. I like it.
they're a huge musical influence on what i'm doing now.
one of the best things about this video is just how uncomfortable the dude from neubaten looks.
Having done my share of regrettable things in my 20s and 30s, (some say yet...) I'm grateful cameras & microphones weren't on the premises.
I will limit my viewing to Nick and call it a day.
This material is probably intended for a different viewing/listening demo.

Like the Butthole Surfers, but without the total mayhem, utter insanity, sense of real danger and the ability to scare the h*ll of of straight white America, or the subject matter that was intended to offend sensibilities.
I guess your musical career will be skyrocketing to the top of the charts soon!
Brilliant band. Loved The Birthday Party, and as someone mentioned The Butthole Surfers too.
that awkward moment when you post something and somebody else posts the same thing and you wonder "did I piss that guy off too?"
Rowland S Howard (of the Boys Next Door, Birthday Party, Bad Seeds, These Immortal Souls, Honeymoon in Red and solo work) is one of my absolute favorite guitarists. Great songwriter as well.
Sadly, Howard passed on 3 or 4 years ago, too young.
I never got to see the Birthday Party or Nick Cave or any of that contingent, but I did see the Butthole Surfers three times in the mid-late 80s and it was the most psychedelic experience I think I ever had, including times when I took psychedelics.
It's been many years since I heard the Butthole Surfers, and really only in a limited way. I vaguely remember kinda liking them.....maybe I just didn't listen to very much.

I crap on lots of things too, though. It’s hard to resist sometimes.
yeah i have no interest in a large amount of the music that gets posted here. i stick around because the gear info is solid and because i love fender guitars.
anyway, that dude is why i bought a jaguar.
I’m not gonna get very far looking for people to approve of my taste either.
I’ll get that Jag some day, I swear.
Yeah, they were a live experience like none other. Saw the Meat Puppets a lot back then, too. I loved the Meat Puppets, but the BHS were to be seen because there was nothing else like them, at all, ever. By 89 or 90, the BHS started to devolve in to self parody and a bit of a formula (Gibby with the shotgun, the upside down cymbals full of lighter fluid on fire, etc)
But man, they were genuinely scary there for a few years.
