    Don't know if it's been posted before, but I always like to see what guitar-to-amp setups others are using.

    Mine:
    Tele > Wah (Morley Bad Horsie II) > Distortion (Ibanez TS808) > Chorus (Boss CH-5) > Delay (Bos DDL-3) > Marshall DSL100.

    Yours?

    tele > Dynacomp > amp

    or REALLY froggy
    tele > Dynacomp > Echoplex > amp

    It changes constantly:

    Inputs:
    synth/guitars/mics/other instruments/homemade& bent circuits --> A/B/C box or resistance mixer-->

    Chain:
    Ultralord --> boost-n-buff-->DODfx69-->Empress tremolo-->DODfx96 analog delay -->Yamaha MSII --> mixer/amp -->ears -->brain.

    but that is only my church/country music setup. :D

    I also often have my laptop running Max/MSP (or cmix or stoopidcollider or whatever)

    Are we still saying that gear is only a small part of "tone"? :D

    Partly because I'd just sound worse with effects... but mostly because I'm cheap.

    With my country rock/rockabilly cover-band:

    Tele (solidbody partscaster w/ Bigsby B5, CC-Rider neck PU, Nocaster bridge PU) or homemade 8-string lap-steel -> Korg Pitchblack tuner -> Zoom PowerDrive (used as booster only) -> Barber LTD overdrive -> George Dennis volume pedal -> homemade EA-Tremolo -> Artec SE-ADL (for slapback echo) - > EHx Holy Grail reverb (only used with the lap steel for extra "ambiance") -> PCL Vintage Amp VA1956 (German-made 50W amp head loosely based on the Boogie Mark I and Mark II designs) -> old Hohner speaker cab loaded with 1x10" & 1x12" Eminence speakers.

    With my singer-songwriter/Americana/alt.country duo:

    Tele or the 8-string lap-steel (thinline partscaster w/ Bigsby B16, Artec Fat Slug neck PU, DiMarzio PreB1 bridge PU)-> homemade AMZ minibooster & homemade Nobels ODR1-clone (both in the same case) -> George Dennis vol pedal -> homemade Princeton Reverb clone (with 15" speaker)

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    for jam sessions:
    the thinline partscaster mentioned above -> the Princeton Reverb clone

    Vox wah>Marshall compressor>Danelectro Octave>Marshall chorus>Dunlop volume>Guyatone micro-delay> Marshall TSL 602.

    I play in a old-school funk cover bad (EW&F, Prince, Cameo, etc.) and actually use all of it.

    For Ms. Nutz's punk band, it's a Digitech RP80 into a fender HRDlx.

    Peace.

    most gigs:

    tele--> polytone MBIII

    Some gigs in dead rooms:

    tele-->alesis nanoverb (room setting, very low)-->polytone

    when I'm at home having a laugh...

    _______________________________----> polytone

    /
    tele-->old ibanez chorus--ibanez analog delay--
    \
    _______________________________----> amp 2

    amp 2 can be a blues junior, or right now more likely, it's a zt lunchbox thru a redstone RS-8 cab.

    and then i play along with pat metheny records.

    Another cheapskate here ..................

    [IMG]

    This goes into my old MKII Boogie or the shiny, spanky new Fender Supersonic.

    I have a room full of pedals but playing live ?, naaaaaaaaah, how can I improve the tone of the Tele ?, it does everything I want.
