My Mini 13. The size of a small loaf of bread, it’s a rat-rod built from a Hammond AO-44 reverb amp. Two ECL86 triode/pentodes and a 6AV6 preamp. Claro Black walnut cab. Gig worthy volume levels thru a 4x12 speaker cab.

My favorite tiny terror amp is my early pre reverb Mesa Subway Rocket, Don't have a good photo of the amp handy but here is a live video with it. It's barely visible here behind me to the left on the floor. Before our set had some one make a snide remark about my little bitty amp. They got shut up instantly when I hit the first big chord here. This is miced with a SM 57 at super low stage volume and running only a verb in the loop nothing else.

Another live video where you can see the little amp on stage this time it's unmiced.

PJB Double Four. I use it for bass and guitar. It’s shrill without an added OD with guitar but small enough to fit in a carry-on, I just keep a drive pedal in front. Capo for scale. 75W. Loud as crappe for its size with a guitar and also can handle a low B on a bass. Love this l’il guy. I had a Blackstar Fly 3 and left it at Goodwill after a few weeks. This PjB wasn’t cheap but 4 years on it has paid me back.

Own several small 15 to 30 watt amps. Mesa Subway Rocker, F30 short head. 25 watt Zinky Blue Velvet. Jet City 22H and a PRS MT 15.

Aria, 1981ish. On lower (or low input) settings it can be very lush and/or loud enough for say, brushes/jazz combo things, fun breakup past 4 on the hi input and obnoxiously loud for it's size , a sort of 12 watts tube screamer, good for R&R & R&B . Still sees a lot of use , weighs nothing for little jams /repetitions and such!

I already posted this earlier, but I think it bears repeating, LOVE the Spark Mini.
Does everything its big brother does, but in a much smaller and more portable package.

I find that I use it for late night, low volume playing more often than the Mustang Micro or my old Line 6 Pocket Pod.
It is also great for sitting out on the back deck and playing for the critters in the back yard 😊

Interesting... I bumped into this thread today morning and a couple of hours later my new Vox MV50 Boutique arrived in the mail...
It's now the new friend of my long-time-clean-platform Vox MV50 Clean.
But this thread also made me realize that... I appear to have a problem of addiction to mini amps... see below for evidence... (Blackstar FLY3... Vox Amplug AC30... Fender Greta... also a Micro Terror has gone one year ago... and my other 2 amps - Vox AC4C1 BL and Fender Pro Junior IV... are not exactly "large" amps!)

I had Greta once, had to (violently) put Jensen 5" -speaker into that... had some useless USB-connecting fan, took the "grill" out of it, sprayed that with brass colored paint and added a handle to it. A friend called it "camping gas stove"... knobs stolen from whatever project.

For now - VOX MV50's are my latest find also. I bought "Clean"-version first, got impressed by it and now waiting "AC"-version for addition... Maybe the best weight/power-ratio ever (?). "Clean" is very loud with Jensen C15K (8 ohms) and from "AC"-version I expect to get some AC15/30 kinda sound with 2x10" WGS Veteran-cabinet. MV50 is so cute, even VOX Lil´Night Train looks like a giant beneath... 🤣 And - I used to have Silverface Super Six (6x10") once...
Hardest thing seems to be is getting my fellow guitar guy to accept / forgive me converting to "Nutube-man"... what a traitor I am.

You know, I have a 5” Jensen in my basket at Thomann since a couple of months… waiting for some other things to purchase and get to the free shipping. Does it improve? I play it through a 12” Vintage 30, but I’d like to use it standalone, for what it is…

An option for a Nutube AC sound for you could be the Valvenergy pedal from Vox + your MV Clean. Rather than having another head. You could also use reverb after the pedal…

You mean something like this?

Q3iSxkl.png

4 NuTube Preamp pedals, delay, reverb and a 30w Class D power amp pedal.

Champion 600; small but maybe not mini:

Some circuit changes by subtraction; changes to the back panel as well, a Jenson Mod speaker, different grill cloth (shoulda painted the baffle, or maybe not, it looks kind of cool), and for about 9 months or so, a Phillips 6L6 power tube:

I showed this last year. It's grown a bit since:

Not pictured is the Bluetooth speaker, earbuds or full-size headphones I use with it. The thing holding it all together is an older version of the Cocoon Grid-IT that has a neoprene cover that pulls over it and a rear pocket for flat things like strings or a tablet.

The whole thing fits in the front compartment of my travel guitar bag, or I can throw it in my suitcase and keep the Micro and earbuds handy in case I get stuck in an airport.

Well - now I have two VOX MV50´s - I run them into two cabinets. "Clean" into Jensen C15K (it handles everything) and "AC" into 2x10" with pair of WGS Veterans. With EHX Stereo Pulsar Tremolo, it's possible to split the signal. Used to have proper A/B-boxes, once. With four various OD-pedals, I'll probably find my way to decent sound. I'm still recovering from idea of having "true" tube amp... Like a 6x10" Super Six Reverb 1973 - those with 4x6L6 - power section, nothin' like Super/Pro -family with tube rectifiers etc - but still good, solid amp from Silverface era.
