Did I just say final mix, just listened a few more times and don't like it at all, the structure is fine but it sounds like it's been mixed by Woody's Mandrills after a big night on the squirt

My personal opinion only: Too many cooks will spoil the stew! For now, just smile and nod, but be working on the mix you know the song deserves. It'll come in handy when they're exhausted by all the "big, yet small; light, yet dark; loud, yet soft" hubbub. ... Some of those earlier mixes had some nice moments of sparkle and guts, but now, thanks to the mixing-by-committee, it's been kind of watered down. Keep swingin'.

Just gotta say that your song has been playing in my head now for several weeks!

I bet you don't want any more advice, but here are couple of impressions based on a couple of listens.
One aspect I like is that you tamed that heavy guitar that comes in early and takes a place throughout. I think this lets other parts of the mix breathe, even though the overall mix is a bit less dynamic.
The soundstage seems much more narrow. I liked earlier versions in this respect, which were consistent with the huge wide-open spaces on your continent.
I wonder if the overall compression is a bit too much.
The responses, that I initially criticized, now seem too tame. (That must be Goldilocks talking!)
    Really great song.

Thanks Woody & t-ray we are hearing the same thing.

The problem is on the master fader because that is where the changes were made, I get home from a short break on Tuesday and will find a way to get it right then but listen and make notes in the meantime

Just attacked the track again and I think it's better.

All on the master fader I wound the comp back a bit after swapping from the Focusrite Red comp to ReaComp which I'm more familiar with, wound the verb back and took the crunch off, added some stereo width and a limiter.

I only have my Sennheiser headphones with me on hols and no mastering SW so a better listen and polish has to wait another 24 hours or so until I get home

Should add I won't post the new mix until after I get home

I sent out a much drier remix with a lot of clarity on all tracks and Julie preferred the mix that dripped with reverb because her voice stood out more.

Never mind that the rest of the mix was rubbish, flat and mushed together.

Listen to and consider the whole production and then and only then ask for something to be changed
