    I used to cop a lot of flack from my older brother for liking disco. But I didn't (and still don't) care. I've always had a broader taste in music to him.

    I was nine or ten years old at the peak of disco, which means that I was old enough to be aware of it, but young enough to listen to it without bias. I've always liked most of it, and still have quite a bit in my music collection. I even love The Bee Gees.

    On the same token, this also applies to KISS, but in the opposite direction. Old enough to remember hearing the music at the time, but young enough to not get swept up into the KISS frenzy that so many guys just a few years older than me did.
