I saved up three episodes to watch because I can't wait for a week between single episodes. Unfortunately, I think this may have made it worse...

Definitely a show I'm gonna chain-watch once the season's done.

I loved the dumpster scene. My first thought when he opened it and recoiled was, "don't they recycle in New Mexico?" Then he climbed out and as soon as he started walking I was laughing waiting for him to see the recycling bin ten feet on.

Yeah, but how many lawyer jokes have you heard like that? I've heard plenty.

What I thought was funny about Chuck was, he was dead serious when he blurted out the 20 million.

I agree about the Betsy Kettleman lines. I liked the one when she told Jimmy,
"But your'e the type of lawyer that defends guilty people".

Monday's episode was amazing. Don't want to spoil it. The final scene is a gut punch.
Man, this show just keeps upping the ante.

I like the whole "he didn't bring a gun scene", that was great!

Yeah, the ending with his brother ... did not see that coming ... wow.

The question is, how many years prior to Saul meeting Walt are we?

According to Wikipedia, its set in 2002- six years before BB.

The end of last night's episode was hard to watch. When Jimmy said "I'm done", I don't think he was only talking about helping Chuck- he was saying that he's done trying to be respectable.

Wow. Six years. I wonder how Mike holds up.

You're correct, last night was a great leap forward toward becoming Saul.

It's not even the best show set in that universe, so let's not get carried away! (It is very good though)

it was a great episode last night...heartbreaking really. The sad thing is that he really is a gifted lawyer and very intelligent and he does want to do the right thing...and even his own brother can't see it.

I thought they'd have to go some to compare it BB, but I honestly believe they've surpassed it now, superb, last one next week as well :(

I can't say they've surpassed it, since BCS is still going and BB's story is finished, so you can't really compare yet... but it's very good. Best show on TV right now.

At this point, I'll watch anything with Vince Gilligan's name on it. He's like the Martin Scorsese of TV shows. A brilliant creator firing on all cylinders.

I don't think it's close to being better, even just comparing BB's first season to BCS's. Breaking bad had better pacing, a better premise and was more consistent, IMO. I think BCS is great though.. I'm enjoying it a lot, I just think Breaking Bad was better.

I'm glad I stayed on. The meaty bits are pretty tasty. Ehrmantraut's character- that actor is almost flawless in his portrayal. A lesser actor could have made that guy so one dimensional and wooden. Face to face at a meeting, in some parking lot, multi-level or outdoor, nobody better.

Jonathon Banks is killing it. His little speech to the mini-van-driving-drug-guy about good guys and bad guys was priceless. His delivery is spot-on. The scene in the parking garage, perfect.

One thing I love about the TDPRI is the maturity of it's members. How ever lately I have been noticing a pattern of what I call the "I got old, things changed and I don't like it" syndrome. :p:lol::D:rolleyes:
