connery - best
lazenby - wtf?
roger moore - too silly
timothy dalton - good movies but too goofy/wishy washy
pierce brosnan - great, but aside from goldeneye they gave him the worst movies
daniel craig - solid, but the movies weren't bond enough, too generic action

they should gun for elba. if you've seen him in beasts of no nation, idk how there is any other opinion.

Henry Cavill has the look, but I don't think he has the chops. But what do I know. James Bond really just needs to be handsome and beat people up.

My favorite Brosnan Bond -- and one of my favorite Bonds, period -- is "Tomorrow Never Dies."

Hardcore Bond fanatics are prone to claiming "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" as their favorite entry in the series.

I interviewed Pierce Brosnan for "Die Another Day," along with several others involved in the film.

I got thoroughly drunk one night at a friendly poker game and decided to do my best (or worst) Sean Connery/James Bond voice all night. There were some hilarious moments.

Timothy Dalton

British Shakespearean actor cast as the American version of James Bond.
He had his shirt sleeves rolled up for crissakes!!!
They might as well had him order a Budwiser

Alas

There is only one James Bond to me

I'll take Anal bum Cover for 100 Alex....

Confused by this, what do you mean by ‘cast as the American version of bond’?

Moore is my fave and For your eyes only is my fave bond film.

Craig is my least favourite. I don’t mind him in other films but he’s just not right for the part. Physically he’s very capable but the guys got 0 charisma.

Let's see... for starters, he's too old to take on the role for the first time and, yes, the character is not Black, and I don't think this is a good place to do the colorblind casting thing. I mean, why not Chris Pratt as Shaft?

On top of Craig being too dour in the role (which is not necessarily his fault), he's notably shorter 5'10" and less traditionally handsome than all the other Bonds, which I don't like. All the other Bonds were handsome enough to turn heads when they walked into the room.

I was surprised to discover that Timothy Dalton is 6'2", making him one of the tallest Bonds. He looks shorter on screen.

Great Bond and not that it really matters but Timothy Dalton is most certainly not 6ft2! I’ve been in his company and I’d confidently say he’s a decent 6ft.

I used to be a good solid Sean Connery IS Bond fan. I enjoyed seeing him play bond, but the movies themselves were never believable, just good fun. All the rest save for Daniel Craig are a distant second, and the movies are mostly forgettable. THEN along came Daniel Craig, and I've liked ALL of his Bond movies, he seemed especially in Casino Royale the only actor ever capable of BEING Bond when it came to the strength and capacity to deal with stress that Bond was supposed to be able to do. So, I switched from dear old Sean, to Daniel. I'm looking forward to seeing the latest Bond film.

You can't just come in here and drop a comment like this without elaboration. Haha.

He attended the Hay festival (literature festival) some years ago, Jonathan Pryce was doing a reading there. I was introduced to him through a colleague that knew Pryce through some charity work. Perfect gentleman. But not a 6ft 2 gentleman lol
