    what's going wrong?

it seems they still are, and i believe it

convince me otherwise, for the sake of progression

i was born in such a rich world

the interesting people you met, doing things that needed doing

nothing about fame and fortune, the real stuff, the stuff of culture

the stuff that made records, once it was all intertwined, now it's just empty sounds

Haha....I'm listening to A Hard Day's Night with my 10 year old son. They're his favorite band right now. I teach middle school, and they are still consistently popular. I'm of no help convincing you otherwise.

ha yes, i'm sure it's just me being nostalgic

yet i'm also sure we were lucky enough to catch the best time of all culturally

like before we went metric or decimal, cool, love you to bits, you know what i'm saying

I can't stand the Beatles. That they're still popular with 10-year-olds says it all, he says annoyingly smugly.

Seriously, though, I'd rather chew my own toes off than listen to Lennon's whining or McCartney's hooting.

Let it be. That's what I say.

Dude, chill out....I like the Beatles, and I was commenting on their continued popularity. Smug is not a word I would use to describe liking a popular band.

Music is not a Contest, therefore, there can be no "Best"

Thing is, the Beatles are - and probably always will be - the best at a lot of things. Doesn't matter if you like them or not, only like certain songs, whatever....there's a lot of Beatles stuff I can't stand to listen to.

Point is, they're the best for a lot of reasons that, in this day & age, can't be changed/bettered.

sorry, i'm not expressing myself well, yeah, it's complicated

i just hope surely they aren't the pinnacle
