while a bit cheeky, I think there is potential in the exchange.

    Questionable tone. Hands-on evaluation required.

Well it is an Ampeg.

Ampeg is the Rickenbacker of amps. They can build anything at any level of quality and people will defend them to the hilt. I remember when they came out with all that unreliable class D stuff like the PF350 and PF500 heads. Take the volume above 5 and the thing blows up, trusting that it worked in the first place. A lot of people bought dead PF350 heads.

"Oh well, if you need an amp that loud you should have bought the PF800 in the first place. My 1969 SVT has never broken down once. It's only had a new PT, pots, caps fitted and it only needs rebiased every four days or so."

A typical Ampeg-roid on the Internet....

Rather than acknowledge other brands exist they reel through the Ampeg catalog, regardless if you want to buy Ampeg or not.

The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin
    That's what I said
The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand
    Or so I have read

My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I like to sink her with my pink torpedo

    Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about bum cakes, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom, drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?

I met her on Monday, it was my lucky fun day
    You know what I mean
I love her each weekday, each velvety cheekday
    You know what I mean

My love gun's loaded and she's in my sights
Big game is waiting there inside her tights

    Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about mudflaps, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom, drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?

I have seen at least two eBay sellers that consistently use pictures of females with guitars. Seller 1 uses pictures of a woman who seems to really hold and play the guitars; she may be the seller herself. Seller 2 uses scantily-clad women who pose with the guitars; I tried to look at only the instruments and failed. :)
