Caught one of my favorite bands of all-time at a private event in southwest Florida on Sunday night... Kate, Cindy & Fred are still amazing, and they blasted through a 14-song set that never slowed down at all. They have an absolutely fantastic band, including Greg Suran on lead guitar. Greg played several guitars during the performance, but his main axe seemed to be a blonde Tele. Great, great player, and the Tele sound was perfect for those iconic B-52s songs (like the riff that opens Private Idaho! Awesome! :D).

Here's a shot from my primo viewing location! Enjoy!

I saw them at the Illinois State Fair in the late 90s. I remember they had a ripping guitar player. Great tone, very precise. Only reason I went was because the Violent Femmes were opening for them. But I remember enjoying the B-52s, oddly. Don't judge.

Saw them 3 times at the local fair, but not the past 7- 8 years or so. ALWAYS a great show and folks usually stand and dance for the entire set. GREAT band!

One of my old bands that had two female singers, Love Shack was always a popular song of ours.

I believe Keith Strickland was playing guitar when I saw them at the Tower Theater a long, long time ago. He was playing Tele through a Boogie Mark series combo.

OP: Was Stirling Campbell playing drums? I became familiar with him through Bowie's "A Reality Tour". What a monster player.

    They clearly wear stage clothes.

    What pretentious hacks.

They should just wear whatever they normally do at home and focus on the music, man.
