Exactly depends on if you live with anyone who cares about noise (our “music”) and how close are the nearest neighbors

Personally I love the katana mini for lower volume and a Princeton reverb and AC 15 for mid volume to almost too loud

    Cool article, enjoyed it.
My best bedroom amp that I owned was a Anniversary Marshall JMP-1 (1 watt) amp run through a Marshall 4x12 with Greenbacks.

Well I’m stupid skipped over the link to answer not realizing there’s a cool story there .

Dang us humans having to brag about what we know and our own interests before our comprehension kicks in

I am really digging my Vox AmPlug Twin for guitar, and my Rumble 40 for bass (has a headphone jack, but also sounds good through the speaker at low volumes).

If not talking about a headphone amp, then it's my circa 1963 Gibson GA-5 Skylark for guitar. It has on/off and volume. Gets nice and scrappy sounding from 7–10 on the volume knob with Tele single coils. The tone knob on the guitar gets extra use when using the Skylark, as the amp itself has no warm tones. 4-6 is nice and crunchy with P.A.F. style humbuckers. Above that with humbuckers, and it starts to get very overdriven (in a good way if used well).

That Magnatone is cool but solid state.
Think I'll stick with what works, a Twin Reverb.
