That's the song I was going to mention. The last couple of shows that are up on YT, Duane's playing is absolutely otherworldly! No one, Derek, Warren, Landreth, Ry, or anyone else has ever been in that zone! Actually brings me to tears...

Imagine being 14 years old and stumbling into that thanks to an underground newspaper that said they were playing for free in the park. I had heard rumblings about the band, but there weren’t yet any records. They opened with dkmw.

I know about the tears, brother:cry:

"Georgia On My Mind," "I Can't Stop Loving You," or "America the Beautiful." I'm sure everyone knows who by.

    This didn't occur to me.
Mom singing, Warm Kitty, Soft Kitty when I was little.
Dad singing harmony with my band on Just Because.
    My eyes are leaking...

    ...and there you go.

My mom is still kicking though. I remember being in a movie theater for the Holidays & hearing my mom's voice singing along to Christmas carols & being struck how beautiful her voice is. I never knew. I wonder how many times she's sang since i've moved away.

Thin Lizzy or Rory Gallagher again.

Dancing in the Moonlight or Philby if I have to pick songtitles.

In 1983 I was 17 and thought we would all live forever....

You know he wasn't a fan of those 2 chord New Orleans ditties.

They just played this... like 3 days ago... at Wembley... with Eddie Vedder!

Anyways, this would have to be mine.

We all play songs we don't care for that the audience loves.

SRV doing “Life Without You”. That Hendrixy fuzzed out solo made the hair on my arms stand up the 4 times I saw him do it. I couldn’t listen to that song for a long time after he died.

Anything by Chris Cornell, really. This was the last thing I heard today.

As much as it sounds pretty naff now, I think it would have to be Smells Like Teen Spirit - purely because of how it made me feel when I was 14.

    Or perhaps Jealous Guy...

    Or Space Oddity...

    Or My Sweet Lord...

It's hard to nail down one song.

Almost anything by Free, with Paul Kossoff, and Andy Fraser on bass. An incredibly influential band, at least for me. :(
