First let's see if I can do the soundcloud thing...

Two tracks, trem on 'backing' track, Strat neck/middle vol=10 on both, amp settings:

I don't think that SC link is working...
What I would do is get the track up in SoundCloud, then copy the URL - it will be something like...
    soundcloud.com/username/tracktitle
Copy that, and start a new comment in this thread... (Check the 'More options' box which will give you a preview to make sure it works)...
Now just paste that URL into the comment and that should be it...

Thanks, yeh, hope it works now, turns out it helps if you make the track 'Public'... :D

Thanks. It's weird, my first take sounded fairly bass-balanced, but this one sounded more treble-y. I think maybe the mic moved...

Sounds very good KF. I might have to look into building one of these myself someday soon.

First, the amp sounds really great, and nice playing. Second, volume at 10 (as you wrote) or volume at 3 as in your photo? If volume was 10, what was your guitar volume at because I would expect a lot more hair at 10. This clip was completely clean. Am I missing something?

Thanks, Cap. I was trying to say the *guitar* volume was at 10 — amp as shown. Does that make sense?

Thanks. You should hear it with the channels jumpered... insanely great. I'll have to see if I can do another clip sometime, with the mic pointed straight...

Sounds awesome. Let’s hear more clips with different trem settings.
Man, I gotta figure out that SoundCloud stuff.

Well it is as you say: heavenly. A Strat into that 5G9 is just gorgeous. And I love the song. I know it from the Uncle Tupelo recording, before the split of Jay Farrar and Jeff Tweedy.

Thanks so much for doing this. Except now I want one. Hey -- at least I know how to build one now. Good gravy, I don't need another amp! ...

That sounds absolutely fantastic. I love that circuit- I think it’s a tie between the tremolux and the 5f6-a for “sweetest” sounding fender tweed.

supremely jealous of your build skills.

Thanks, my friend, and +1 on Uncle Tupelo -- altho the Dylan version isn't bad. I know I raved about this amp when I first fired 'er up, but I'm still deeply in love. That's both odd and gratifying, since I'd never heard or seen one -- even good demos are rare. It was just the pure love of various owners and grieving former owners and a few builders on amp forums years ago that planted the idea in my head. It's rare when vain dreams become reality, so I'm a happy guy.

Yep, that makes sense. I would love to hear it jumpered and set at the start of breakup. I bet it is pretty glorious.

    Beautiful!
Sound clips posted here are nice to see, they give closure to the build that has been followed. But I can imagine all the fun that you're having messin' about with that guitar and that cool amp. Let the music flow.
