    Hi All!

This is my latest Texas Lone Star build. I've seen a few on the internet in the past, but I took some liberties with Texas to provide better access to the upper frets.

    - Hand/Scatter-wound pickups - hot
    - Grisby 4-way switch w/CTS pots
    - Tiger Flame maple neck
    - Gotoh Tuners
    - Gotoh Vintage Modern Bridge - 6 saddle
    - Poplar body
    - Frets leveled

This guitar is awesome. It is designed for better accessibility to the upper frets. The 4-way switch provides Bridge; Bridge/Neck parallel; Neck; Bridge/Neck serial. The sound is hot and bright with a hot warm neck pickup.

very cool - one step (or more) beyond the Gib/Epi continental US body

I have no meaningful connection w/ the Lone Star State other than a summer of work in '77, so I don't believe I could pull it off. Nevertheless, Very Cool.

    Peace - Deeve

It's very cool. You could do one for every state!

    Bo Diddley already did Colorado.

That looks really cool. Excellent job paying homage to the greatest country on the planet. :D

Very cool idea. Looks like it might be a little uncomfortable to play.

I'd love to, but it looks like about a 90 mile drive!

It’s in Houston. Off kirkwood and memorial.

Oh ok! We live right on the southern border of The Woodlands. We moved here almost 4 years ago and since I work from home, don't really know much about town.

Message me on Facebook and maybe I can try to meet up. I've got small kids so a night out is tough this weekend. My oldest is out of town. He normally does the babysitting!

You "took some liberties with Texas" as in you "messed with Texas?" I had to say that, lol. My Don't Mess With Texas mug which my son brought me back from a holiday in Texas a few years ago sits on my desk in front of me. I use it as a pencil/pen holder.

    Beautiful job!

Thanks! Yeah... messing with Texas could be hazardous! It was either make some modifications or lose access to the upper frets. I changed the design a few times and finalized on the "modified" Texas.

Here is the first that I build for a customer.

I changed the neck pocket on this one and ran aluminum through the inside from the strings to neck.
