Pretty well every sitcom that lasts more than a few seasons jumps the shark at some point. Hence the phrase, from when Fonzie on Happy Days literally jumped a shark on water skis as a pathetic ratings bid when the show was in decline.

There's gotta be some kind of licensing snafu with Soap.

    It's out on DVD now.

The weird one is WKRP, they couldn't work out the music thing so all the 'DJ' music is dubbed in, not what it was originally.

    If memory serves...

    (it doesn't, but whatever!)

In the last sighting of Chuck on Happy Days, he goes up the stairs. Thus, he never came back down the stairs. His body is apparently up there in the third bedroom, rotting.

Anyhoo, Sully for the win. Heil Honey!??!

Diff'rent Strokes was pretty horrible after the first episode, as every one after that was apparently nothing but a setup for the obligatory line "What choo talking' 'bout, Willis?"

My mind had completed blocked any memories of that stinker until you brought it up. Talk about milking a formula to death...

In the early 70's, CBS was known as the rural network.

To shed this, they cancelled all of their top shows, including Mayberry RFD
which had been rated No. 1.

All of these were in the top twenty, including Green Acres, Petticoat Junction,
Beverly Hillbillies, the Jim Nabors Show, and Hee Haw.

And you think Mr Haney was really a hick? He had one of the best lines ever,
The numerous cancellations prompted Pat Buttram ("Mr. Haney" on one of the
cancelled shows, Green Acres) to make the observation: "It was the year CBS
cancelled everything with a tree—including Lassie"

So pleased to hear NOT Everbody Loves Raymond!"

To me, this show is like a throwback to all that was bad in 60s sitcoms. Another one I don't get is Gavin And Stacey - with the awful James Corden.

I've tried to watch Seinfeld again recently and my original thoughts that these are a group of people I'd punch in the face in real life still holds true. Awful human beings there. Awful.

I know I'm going to get flak for this, but... Seinfeld sucked. I can't sit through it. Boring, sucky attempts at being funny.

Hard for me to believe it tops all these lists of funniest shows of the 90s when it was on at the same time as the first 10 seasons of The Simpsons and MST3K.

My least favourite sitcom is probably 2 1/2 Men. Terrible, lazy, lame jokes/writing. Just awful.
