tell me what a strat serial number starting with CN means

    I didn't believe the number but I contacted fender and they confirmed it.

    Sometimes you have to love how Fender does things - they used the "CN" serial number prefix on both low-priced Made in Korea models and on high-priced USA Custom Shop models.

    With Fender everything is a "rule of thumb" and for just about every "rule of thumb" you can find an individual instrument or two that completely refutes it.
