My first partscaster build, nothing fancy, just the basics to say I put it all together, roasted swamp ash body, roasted maple neck (don't want any neck with a finish now), SS frets, gen 4 noiseless PU's, Wilkinson bridge.

Working on a second build now....satin black, roasted maple neck...burnished to 2000 grit, no pickguard, Dimarzio PU's, even MORE basic ;)

My avatar is my beloved dog and best friend

    A dachshund named Lois

Her name was going to be Louis but after a couple days of having her I realized she didn’t have Louis “parts”

my good friends dog gave birth to a litter of 4 and she was the only one to survive
I took her home when she was 8 weeks old and she could have died from an infection she got from my friends house (love my friend but his house was in squalor at the time) having so many flees she had a bad abscess in her face and everything.I had to nurse her back to health
She’s my first dog I call my own and I’ve never had an animal so attached to me in all my life she sits and waits for me to come home and can’t stand to be more than about 5 feet from me
Most loyal dog I’ve ever met
Although she is very stubborn and wouldn’t do something she wants to do just to spite me

I never cared for small dogs (she’s even small for a dachshund) but now I think when she passes I wouldn’t want any other type of dog except a dachshund

So for no reason related to guitars I decided to make her my avatar

Plus she’s the most beautiful dog ever with her cow spots and pink pig belly

And if I curl her little leg up it looks like a chicken wing

<<<<I think we know this guy. As it turns out, a Texas Ranger (who are historically admirable--a great museum in Waco, TX)...and a hot rodder (me too, though more restrained now). But, a visual of how out of place and uncomfortable I currently feel with my electrics. And I have two banjos, a five string and a tenor...equally dusty.

Oh, and my Mom loved "King of the Hill"...

I would call it my number 1 if I actually spent more time playing than building. Thineline with a TV Jones classic in the neck and a Classic Plus in the bridge. Currently on loan to a friend that can actually play. :)

Mine is a picture of my pedalboard with all the pedals activated and the room lights turned off.
It sort of looks like a picture of a galaxy or star cluster or something from space.

Mine is a scan of an original print advertisement for the Fender Starcaster. I chose it because I have a vintage Starcaster that came to me “new from dealer stock” from my grandfather who owned a music store. What’s funny is that the guitar is actually two years older than I am! :)

Just a like not really enough. Beautiful pic - really makes me wish I didn't have an allergy to alcohol. Still, rather that than an allergy to Teles.

My “cheap” strat. The only Squier I own at the moment - pawn shop for 119$ CDn and just felt like it was mine when I first picked it up. Upgraded MIM standard trem, Tex Mex pickups and reworked the neck myself. My 2 Teles and this strat get about equal play time right now - my “good” strat, which ironically was my #1 for 13 years, is someone neglected at the moment. This Squire in my avatar has the best action of all of them.

No mystery here. My avatar is a stock photo of my current (and sole) electric guitar, the Fender Custom Telecaster FMT HH (BCB).
