2016 Les Paul Studio. A gift from my better half. She is a keeper! (The better half) So is the guitar!
Big Eyes kitty. Problem?
My avatar is in memory of my best friend Obi Wan Toto Kenobi, who passed away 62 weeks ago this last Tuesday. I have a new dog, and he's a good dog, but I will always remember my friend. He was with me for just shy of 15 years. He came to live with me when he was two months and three weeks old, until he was fifteen years and a little over a month old. My wife said his presence was so powerful because he wasn't a dog at all, but a very small human dressed up in a dog suit. I sincerely believe she had it pegged. Most all of my good posts were of his making, I took the credit but he wrote them. The bad ones, are all mine.
Hello, it’s me
It was maybe fifteen years ago, when I bought a Japan made Fender "51" Precision - just because it is so, so beautiful. I wanted to keep it "untouched" (yes, I'm a fool), but I still wanted to play it sometimes, so I made a replica of it, for use. The original Fender is still in a case untouched. Crazy.
Just my favourite Tele.
I feel so unimaginative...
It's the Benny Hill Show!
My first Tele build, 2 piece alder body, maple neck, rosewood FB, Fishman Power Bridge. Custom mixed the Mango Nitrocellulose. The pickups in this guitar were a MIM bridge and a Seymour Duncan neck. They sounded bad in the MIM, but when I put them in this, they came to life. Yeah, I'm one of those "the wood makes a difference guys".
My '60. Gussied up for the picture with a Pearloid pick guard. Bought it from a good friend a year or so ago.
My butt crack. Yup, I started a thread about this.
A penguin because I am an enthusiast of the Linux operating system. This one looks particularly ticked off, and I know why; computers are cantankerous beastly things no matter what operating system you slap on them.
And penguins are awesome.
One day maybe I'll switch it out, maybe for a dramatic shot of my #1 guitar I built, or maybe the one I'm going to build.
On other forums I use a picture of a toy robot, maybe I'll use that someday too.
I live to catch large Rainbow Carp whenever possible. That one is damn near 25 inches. Most of the canals and ditches in these here parts have them.
My '94 American Classic Custom Shop Strat. Thanks John Page!
My 17 year old son, when he was 2.
I was sitting at the DR table fiddling around with the effects on the camera on my IPad.
In the past I've had pics of Harley, just because he is so handsome
but I'm on a Jobim kick and the giraffe is the cover of the album Wave (one of several colour versions)
Hmm. I’ll have to post.
Looks like my pedal board. Or at least one of them. I’m rebuilding them all so this will be obsolete soon.
