As good a guitarist as he was, he was just as much a showman. The Super Bowl Halftime show was the stuff of legends.

Not a Fender, but in the Tele family. Or extended family.

A legendary performance to be sure. But I always thought Prince went a bit overboard with his showboating.... here he is on stage with some of music's greatest legends to honor George Harrison, and he sort of turned it into the Prince show. I'll probably get boooed for my opinion....

Never a big prince fan, just not my thing.
but he does have my utmost respect as a musician, songwriter, but most impressive to me are his engineering chops in a studio, this guy was truly outstanding at all this stuff. He could drive a desk better than many very good engineers. And the good ones would let him. And just give him space and help him when you could.
just hold on for the ride, a masterpiece is happening.

I believe some are truly gifted with talent that is a bit above the average Joe, people like that are so much fun to be around I think.

I had a guitar student for about a year that had “it”. Was cool to be around him, and astonished at his learning speed. He has done well.
