I have always been very traditional in my taste for Teles but for some reason this one really sticks in my mind. The only thing I would change is the top contour of the p/g to more closely match the line of the body. I understand this is a limited run of cs guitars for only one dealer

Hmmm... I don't know why, but I like it. I am a trad guy, but somehow it's appealing to me.

...yesterday, there was a pine body for sale on Ebay...that looked a lot like this one..except that the bridge pickup was routed to mount in the body straight up...not slanted as per normal....

I played two of them at Make'n Music in Chicago, and talked to the guy who designed them. AMAZING guitars. I don't like relics (and these are heavily reliced) but I would have one of those in a heartbeat. Great balance to the body, comfortable to play, and sounds like a great Tele.

Try $6000. The one pictured above was even more as it was the prototype.

Several replicas have been created by TDPRI members.

With respect, Make'n'Music seems to have sold most of the ones they had Fender CS build. I believe it is exclusive to them.

That one needs to go into production as an MIM Esquire.Maybe with a Jazzmaster "tremolo".

I'm wanting to make an Esquire, and I'm seriously considering doing a Telemaster as opposed to just a regular Esquire.

    I love it.

Cool guitar. Reminds me of something from the early 60's, Beach Boy-ish..

I think the pickguard could be contoured/shaped better. Looks clumsy for some reason.

I love the look on these guitar!

When I saw this guitar at the Make'n Music site.. It was 1st love! Coincidently most of the guitars I have are teles and jaguar/jazzmasters so I just had to have a telemaster custom built especially since I couldn't afford the real deal.

I like it. There's a few build threads on it. I might do one myself. Hmmm...

I think it is gorgeous! But yes, far too much $$$ for the likes of me.

I'm really feeling the 60's surf guitar vibe from it.

Would love to see one in Surf Green with a pearloid pickguard. I know not too terribly original, but I'd still like to see it.

I like the CAR better than the blackguard. I think the tele headstock shape goes very well with the offset body. The sunburst pictured above is a very attractive guitar!
