If you can't find the Custom II.

You could get a Jim Root model and replace the HB's with SD Phat Cats or some other HB size P90's.

The JR goes for around $400.

I have a G&L Tribute ASAT Deluxe with P-90's that I bought a couple of years ago. It was fairly inexpensive but plays great. I believe they have been discontinued but you might be able to pick up a used one in good condition. Stock photo:

My Tele is still number one.

I wanted P-90 goodness but I want my Tele to be a Tele.

I bought a 2019 Gibson Les Paul junior.
They are my only two electric guitars.
I am well satisfied with the pair.

get one, and put a treble bleed into it. the pickups get pretty dark and muddy when you roll off the volume so i had one done - now i love mine, it's a cracking guitar.

a TBX works great on 2x90 teles.... you can dial away any mud from any pickup with one of these.... or add it if you want.... the red one has a 4 way/tbx....

a few more.... IMHO, a Tele still has to look like a Tele... Leo angled his bridge pu's... so do I...:)

I love my Teles just as they are, two Fender single coils. But, all of my Gibsons are loaded with P90's.

I built a Warmoth Telecaster with Frailin P-90s using mahogany body and a wenge neck. It was a rockin machine, let me tell you. I swapped it for a Fender Twin Reverb amp, but I wish I still had that guitar. I may have to break down and build another one.
