After Andy Summers posted about his new paisley guitar in the other... (stratocaster) forum and let me know they made 100 Telecasters in the run...... I felt a need to find one. Of course, these were a Fender Japan run of 100 sent to Europe, Asia and the Middle East. I found 3 in Europe and one used here in the U.S. One in Europe sold, Thomann can't ship Fenders to the U.S. and this one in The Netherlands. After some discussion, I picked this up and was shipped here in 4 days.

It arrived today and it's almost 3-D with the gold & silver in the paisley. Another great Fender Japan acquisition. At 7.25 pounds it's my lightest I believe. The American Vintage '58 Single Coil Tele pickups are some of the loudest/hottest I've owned.

Factory set up is pretty good but the intonation needs to be adjusted so I'll get it to my tech next week for a check over and set up.

Thanks all. I never would have known about this if I hadn't read it in the Strat area and Andy letting me know about the Teles.

Man, that looks nuts. I've never seen one in that particular pattern. I see what you mean about the 3D look - it really goes from dark to light.

This doesn't help that my local has one of those silver/paisley road worns in stock. I've got paisley fever all of a sudden.

the edges imho look like I did it with a cheap can of spray paint, the paisley is superb .
but hey it's not my money so I'll quietly slink back into the darkness and seethe.

I admit I am NOT much of a Paisley fan......but that is a great looking guitar. It has none of my preferred neck "specs", so you don't have to worry about me sneaking in and stealing it from you, but it does look nice, and if it floats your boat, I'm thrilled for you......
    ENJOY!!!! ;)
