We remodelled our living room over last winter and went a bit over budget, as you do...I saw a really great drinks cabinet on line called 'The Rockstar', but it was about £3,500, so I had to come up with something a bit cheaper.

We took a simple black Ikea cabinet, some gold paint and some metal parts that should be familiar to readers on this website. ;)

Blatently copying 'The Rockstar' my OH trimmed the insides with some silk fabric and I put an industrial style light in it.

Hope you like it. :) Drinks cabinet.jpg

I'll be over for some Tanquray on ice at 8:00 pm. Should I bring snacks?

Strange coincidence, that's what I'm sipping right now...it's gone 11pm over here though, maybe tomorrow night eh? :)

Made myself ill many years ago on whisky and I've never been able to touch it since. Still, it leaves room in the cabinet for a few other drinks.

Heh, I'm the same way with gin. I bought a fancy bottle for my wife three years ago and it's 3/4 full tody. Anything else would I would have drained but that one's safe.
