    I guess I'm weird.

I'm definitely not a traditionalist, evidenced by my herd of instruments, but...

I prefer to true slab on guitars...I own a Strat, a G&L and a Telecaster Deluxe, all of which have varying degrees of body contours or belly cuts, but…

I prefer the regular ol' Telecaster body cutting into my ribs, pelvis and forearm, just like that pair of boots that pinch in all the right places, making you feel a touch more rough and tough and ready to take on the world.

That's probably why, at this stage in my life, I prefer Telecasters, Les Paul Juniors and Flying Vs over everything else--the slight discomfort of the body edge cutting into my body eggs me on to play more fearlessly and ferociously.

I keep a capo clipped to the headstock to hold a slide. More attitude than talent here. Yay or nay?

I'm down with it as long as you play onstage with a lit cigarette hanging out of the end of the slide.

    :)

The Richie Kotzen Tele is one of the few contour cut tele's I don't mind. The cut is subtle. Unfortunately for me I don't like the flame top or finish. I was tempted to buy one recently and paint it but the weight was too heavy as was the cost at $500 bucks unloaded.

I would agrre for tele cut if it was symmetrical , smaller cut on the right side from front. Or maybe body shape. However i really dig archtops with tom bridges

I just roll the edge a bit to soften the curve without going as drastic as a strat round off....I don't worry about a gut cut....

saves a crease in your forearm....;)

Middle fingers in the air 'cause I just don't care.
Mine sounds effing killer and, even though it hasn't suffered much live playing yet, it's definitely much more comfortable when things get aggressive. IMG_1884.JPG

Gotta say it, yuk! Nothing to do with ‘not on a Tele’, just looks a naff shape for a guitar.

Looks nothing like a Yeti, far too ugly to be an abomination.

    Not a good look IMO.

    But "blasphemy" it is not.
