    Hey everyone,
I need some help in hiring an expert in pre-CBS Telecasters, who could make a determination based on some pretty good pictures of the guitar.
    Thank you.

Do you want an appraisal or just opinions?

I know George Gruhn will do appraisals off of pictures

If you have the pictures just post them and you’ll probably get all the answers you need

As @Fretting out said, post the pictures here, and let others weigh in. I am not an expert, but there are experts here who can give great feedback from lots of experience.

Seriously, though post it on the vintage telecaster section of the forum. The thing is, alot of the guys actually have the vintage guitars so yeah, they know about the guitars. When someone posts pictures and asks for authentication, the guys (and gals) usually post pictures of their own guitars for comparison. It's free, and the people here know what they're talking about.

Whoever you show, they're going to want photos of:

    The neck pocket empty, including the shape of the edges and any stamps or markings;

The back of the neck heel; the end of the neck heel; the headstock front and back; the carve from neck to headstock; the 12th fret markers; the inside of the control cavity; the control plate & wiring....

In addition to all the ones you'd normally expect.

Check with a local luthier. Not a guitar tech, but a real luthier.

    Hi,
    Thank you very much.
I'm sorry for the late reply.
I've been pretty with chemo the last few weeks.
I'll get the pictures out of storage within the next few 1-2 weeks.
Would you mind making an introduction? Or is George part of the Tele Forum?

George Gruhn has a shop In Nashville, I’m sure there’s contact information on their website, Gruhn Guitars.com

he will do appraisals from photos

An appraisal from him at least in the states is in very high regard

I’m not sure what he charges it wouldn’t hurt to try and contact him

I’d probably still post some pictures here and you will get an idea of what you have

Sorry to hear about the chemo
