I can't remember if I posted this before.

While I was on Paternity leave, I did a lot of cooking. While doing some prep work, I realized it was about time for a new cutting board. That is when the lightbulb went off in my head and I had to call USACG to see if they would shape a new cutting board for me.

I think it came out pretty damn cool.

Well done! I'm on board...... If she says it's okay......

I count 15 pieces, how thick is it?

M

It started life as a John Boos cutting block. It's just under 2" thick. I wanted to do a checkerboard end grain, but edge grain was more cost effective. It started as 20"x15" and worked perfectly.

BTW, Rob and Tommy got a kick out of doing it for me. I am sure they would love to do more.

Tauntongreen on etsy has alot of cutting boards similar to this and other guitar shapes. He does great work. There's some beautiful laminate ones.

You know, I never weighed it, but it doesn't seem unusually light or heavy. That photo was before I applied mineral oil, which brought the grain to life.

I have several tele shaped cutting boards. They started out as NGB's. ;)
