I am going to say that's not a legit Fender Custom Shop guitar but I may be totally wrong.

That looks nothing like any of the custom shop fenders I’ve seen. Logo and overall vibe look wrong.

Aren't there a lot of certificates, bills of sale associated with such a recent custom shop guitar? From any manufacture?

Head-stock looks/is totally wrong. Also the body is unlike any Fender I have seen.

Strange one. The logo on the rear of the headstock is, or is similar to, that used on early Custom Shop models, but it was changed many years before 2009, so that doesn't fit right at all. It doesn't have the look of a Custom Shop guitar, but then the photos are not great. Given that there's unanswered questions about this one, my inclination would be to walk away!

Ron's correct, that logo was one of the original CS logos that was changed to pretty much the current logo way before 2009. Without seeing more detailed pics, I agree, leave it alone.

Logo is pre 1993. Looks like a set neck from the 1991-2 period only with a full pickguard, which is odd. It is NOT a 2009!

My '89 Custom Shop has the same logo. No COA was issued with these guitars. CS logo.JPG

I have that logo on an 80’s pj bass. It also has a number.

Not exactly true, COA's were issued in 1989(see below)....but an awful lot were misplaced, hence the seller led creation of their non-issue ;)

Those with the black four digit number under the logo were the first guitars and often built by a 'masterbuilder' before they received their signature decal.
