2TSB, maple board, single ply white guard is up there. But I didn't even know it until I bought my AV '58.

    I also have:

Desert Tan, maple board, 1-ply white guard ('02 Custom Shop Esquire)

Translucent green, maple board, 1-ply white guard (home assembly Esquire)

Blonde, rosewood board, 1-ply white guard (Page Mirror)

Honey blonde, rosewood board, 3-ply white guard (AV '64)

Translucent orange, maple board, 3-ply white guard (ASAT Classic nitro)

Black, maple board, 1-ply white guard (home assembly Esquire)

All of them look great to me. However, the honey blonde one will be oversprayed before too long. I am thinking Dakota Red or Inca Silver.

Deep Metallic Copper/Orange, dark roast maple neck, vintage tuners, modern c profile, 9.5 radius, RW board, medium jumbo 22 frets, thick black single ply pickguard. 1963 style 3 brass saddles bridge. Hot Tex Mex pickups. 500k pots, 400uf capacitors, I like the S1 push switch. Please build it Fender, let Jon Cruz tweak it a bit, I'll buy it even if I have to sell my wife's car.

Sherwood Green and Rosewood go together like a horse and carriage.

FWIW, the traditional BSB w/ black pickguard. Especially as it yellows, darkens, gets scuffed through wear and tear.

I also like reds, reddish sunbursts, rosewood, etc. A rich dark yellow is nice, too. Black pickguards, all.

Yellowy/amber maple necks, followed by ruddy rosewood ones.

I do NOT like anything blue, green, too white, paisley, sparkly, etc. Though a dark metallic copper can be nice.

No wonder my kids sometimes ask me if I think buttons are "too modern."

I like Sonic Blue and rosewood. One of our friends just posted a matching Strat and Tele in this combo and it’s glorious.

Jimmy Thackeray has a song about that. Can’t mention it here because it has a naughty word in the title.

If I had to pick one. Simple, white blonde body, with a maple neck, 5 hole single ply guard, with vintage hardware.....

    You know the ones.

Many great colors - but one question; Butterscotch blond - have you ever seen that elsewhere, than in tele and 51" presicion? Or maybe (not sure) in that pawn shop 51" squier? I think it's a great "color" but I can't remember seen it for example in a strat.

I just bought two strat bodies and the other one is not "contoured". I was thinking that I'd like to try to paint that color on it. I guess it needs a hint of yellowish mixed up with lacquer. And some kind of pickguard mixed with 51"presicion and stratocaster..?

I think this belongs to @DHart. Love the color and the black guard.

Yes, that's mine. It's Mystic Red - really awesome color! Probably my favorite Fender color.

    Rosewood board on it now.

I also have a Strat in Mystic Red. It's deep, dark, and mysterious like blood - mystical!
