Hey guys,

What's your thoughts on the blade bridge pickups? I'm really curious as I've never owned one but all my favourite musicians that I listen to are popping up with them all around the place. I think the ones that interest me the most are the single-coil blade pickups, or low output humbucker ones. Example of this would be Jeff Buckleys Carvin blade pickup he uses.

Any other mentions? Pics all welcome! Inspire me to put one in my 'TotalCaster'.

I have a Vintage Vibe CC Rider in the neck and a Vintage Vibe blade type Tele single coil in the bridge of a Tele. They seem to have a hotter output (louder) than many traditional style Tele single coils but retain clarity and treble better than any other hotter output pickups I've tried in a Tele. These are my favorite untraditional Tele pickups.

Maybe Robin Nahum and jcayer will chime in with their experiences, their posts about the VV blade type pickups inspired me to try them out.

Thank you Yegbert.

I'm not a big bridge player so it's difficult for me to articulate a view with confidence but I would concur with your comments.
