That's not been my experience, and I use the volume pot a lot with my Baja. I would check the pot out, and assuming it's not defective consider switching to a volume pot with a different taper.

I think it would look great reliced... in that case a dingy white pickguard would suit it the best imho...

I voted the white pearloid. It looks all fancy.

Personally, never found use for a white guard on a Tele.

I'd go black with that one! Second choice, MOT.

Although I voted for pearl I would go for a light grey if the option was there
My Tele is similar colour with white pickguard but have white chicken head knobs for tone and volume

Go without a pickguard. It’s a nice color without it.

Go with no pick guard at all. Nice color, let it shine.

Those are all too conventional and conservative for me. Think outside the box and be original - unless this is strictly for resale. There's a world of options out there.

I love those pickguards - I've bought four of them for various P-Basses. I think the Aqua Pearl would look awesome on that guitar (and in fact I'm thinking of one for my natural ash Tele).

    Good luck!

Lately I have seen several different green guitars with dark red tortoise pick guards. I never would have thought so, but I like it. I have two myself. Really pops.

    None of those shown.

I did a guitar pretty much like that, and chose a Fender brand mint green pickguard. You're looking for the ones that are more gray than anything else.
