All my tele's are DIY and I fancy actually having a Fender. I'm looking for something with an aged white/ olympic white nitro finish with a rosewood fingerboard. Would prefer a 9.5 radius neck. Fairly traditional pickups.

What particular models should i look out for?

Budget of around £1000 used. Would be very happy with something a bit battered.

    Any help much appreciated!

Just to ass: looking for used and ideally a USA build!

    Cheers
    Dave

Hard to find something with that color combo right now that isn't a Jimmy Page mirrorcaster. It's just page after page of... Page

Although the Page model has a white blonde (non aged) finish and 7.25 inches fretboard radius.

    I should add that
I'm looking for used so any older models that you know of that have that combination? I did see a nice FSR but not sure if they are a good bet.

Nothing new. There was a nitro Mexican 50sv- not sure if the 60s came in lacquer if so they're rare.

    BUT

You do realise Olympic White isn't nitro although it is lacquer? It's Lucite, DuPont's trade name for acrylic lacquer. As the thinners of both is acetone (that's the definition of lacquer) Oly White went under nitro until about 67-68 when they used poly for both. After that only the headstock face was finished in nitro because the decal reacted with poly thinners.

Most Fender Custom Colours like LPB, Shoreline Gold, Fiesta Red, Dakota, Silver and virtually every metallic - all acrylic.

This is a very early 60s custiom finish over a failed sunburst - Fender used to do this - and it missed out on topcoat so the acrylic hasn't aged.

You might be able to find an A0s, that will get you the rosewood board and 9.5" radius along with nitro. Might be a bit more spendy than a grand though.

Will have a look thanks. I picked up an Originals Jazzmaster in Ocean Turquoise last year which is a beautiful guitar.
