A quick query regarding shielding a tele I'm putting together.

The bridge pickup cavity is quite tight. Is there any issue (from a shielding point of view) if the base plate of the pickup comes in contact with the copper shielding??

    thanks in advance.

Don't most pickups have soldering at the bottom? If so touching won't be a good thing... Why not put some electrical tape on either the pickup or the bottom (over the top of copper)
