    Even though it was as Esquire, Luther Perkins, then, once he started playing one, and I started seeing him in clubs, Danny Gatton. Don Rich, too.

    For me the thing that says Telecaster is the top of the neck twangy runs you hear folks like Luther Perkins, Dale Watson and Junior Brown doing.
