This build started last september 09 but my luthier is so busy and entertains walk in repairs rather than building guitars, and his having a hard time buying woods too...

anyway i was inspired by Preeb and Scatter Lee's build so now im constantly following him up and looked for the woods needed..

    so here's some pics:
    flame maple for top

2 pc off set mahogany back

    chambers

neck material - found this from our stocks of wood collected from a demolition job, its supposed to be a relative of mahogany but denser..

how it will look like :)

thanks again to this forum and people (Preeb and scatter lee)who are generously sharing their knowledge :)

I look forward to seeing your progress. I think it's a real cool idea. I might consider building one myself!

lookin good, I will deffinitly watch!! However, why Tele-Paul? It looks like full blown Les Paul, not that that is a bad thing

    Looks great so far !

The body shape reminds me of the Robin Avalon series guitars, but with a "touch" more Tele influence -

Love the dishing of the top - like a pregnant les paul. Like Chris I'm not sure where the tele elements are so far, but I'm bookmarking this build :).

    [edit]
Ah, I do see some Tele influence in the carving :). Subtle, but nice.

I just saw this last night! I love the top you chose and the carving on the top is just sexy! I think the weight was just perfect too!

Btw have you chosen what color you will be going for this one? I'm looking forward to see this come alive =)

Hey JC, good to see you around here. I like your new proj. guitar. Reminds me of a Hamer Talladega pro which i really really like. I'd love to see the guitar when its done. :D
