Hello! I’ve been wanting to customize my squier tele for a while so I recently purchased a pair of p90s and a 5-way super switch, but it seems I’ve bitten off more than I can chew. I was hoping to configure the 5-way to Neck, Neck + Bridge series, Neck + Bridge parallel, Neck + Bridge series - out of phase, Bridge (or something similar), but I can only seem to find diagrams for said configuration using standard Tele pickups. Was wondering if anyone has any information on how to wire p90s to a 5-way switch this way.

Familiar with wiring and soldering, although not so much when it comes to guitars. Anything helps!

You can follow the diagram for tele pickups as they are both single coils.

Thank you so much!

It seems in the diagrams that a new additional ground wire is required for the tele neck pickup, would you know where to find the place to solder in the new wire on the neck p90?

If you take a p90 apart you will see that likely the coil start end is attached to the copper base plate of the p90. You will need to clip it and run a new ground similar to instructions for a Tele neck pickup.

I did four way switching on a P90 tele (neck, series, parallel, bridge) and had to access both ends of one coil.

As it turns out the switch was bad and I replaced it with a standard 3 way, I found I didn't use the parallel combination.
