Any tips or suggestions for either rounding out a tele neck heel or squaring up a strat style neck pocket? (to get a tele neck on my jazzmaster body)

I’ve also seen the universal strat/tele mouse ear shaped pocket, and it seems people have had success with that, but what tools would you suggest for carving those mouse ears into the strat pocket?

All I have is a cheap dremel and sandpaper, but I don’t mind sitting there all day hand sanding the square tele neck heel little by little until it fits into the round pocket if that will work, but I just need some pointers for where I should start

A strat neck heel is a 5" radius. I'd get a paper template glued on there and then saw/file/sand until it fits. The radii at the edges are 1/2" d like a tele. There isn't that much to remove in my opinion, but I'd saw some off outside the line of what you want to end up with.

Cut out and glue on the paper template. I'd use glue stick. You can print out a PDF drawing similar to above. That one is from electricherald.com. You will see the exposed wood that needs to come off. Then saw a little. Get a file and file a little, and finally sand a little. You want the surface perpendicular to the bottom of the heel. You could also print out a tele heel and compare the two. If you had a belt sander, that would be helpful too.
