Putting a humbucker in the neck position with 4-way wiring. Looking to add coil split via separate 3-way DPDT switch similar to this (although I'd obviously put the coil split on the neck pickup, and may also do a reverse control layout):

Two questions:

1. Does this look like a good approach?
2. Could someone help put together a wiring diagram for me?

Thanks!

I prefer using a three way on on on toggle to get full series, parallel, and split out of the humbucker. And a normal 3-way** blade switch. And a resistor and 500k vol pot so the HB and middle positions see 500, and the bridge sees 250k.

I can post when I get up. I'm actually sleeping right now, or close to it.

** Can use 4way if you like, though it'll only be useful with the split. Series is meant to emulate a HB, IMHO, but you actually have a humbucker...

I usually just go with a 5-way with coil splits. It takes a super switch or a Schalle4 Mega switch M.

With the Mega you can do,
1 bridge
2 bridge and neck outer coil in series
3 bridge and neck humbucker in series
4 neck outer coil
5 neck humbucker

Or,
1 bridge
2 bridge and neck inner coil in series
3 bridge and neck humbucker in series
4 neck inner coil
5 neck humbucker

Schaller's sight has drawings under the technical section for SH.

Thanks for the help. I've got a control plate together with the separate DPDT switch. I'll update if I have any trouble with that.

And depending on how it goes, I may try the 5-way pickup selector approach.
