In order to preserve the features, a baritone scale length of 28.5" would be needed. I have 0 experience playing a baritone guitar.
Features could be preserved if it was moved to the back with standard scale.
Guess I'd need a top with a hole..lol

Is the neck gonna cover the rabbits ears? ( tops)

I know NOTHING about finishes or building, but wonder is some kind of subtle tint +clean coat gloss could really 'bring out' that top?

Very interesting chunk of wood grain. But I prefer the plainest & straightest wood grain on guitars. I like the wood grain sooo straight & plain it’s an oddity. Waaay Straighter & more plain than normal.

No, the ears won't be covered by the neck and fingerboard. I did change the body style from a Tele to a 59' DCLPJR as it fits the features better of the top.

Man, that's really cool. Especially now that you've converted to an LPJR. Looking forward to the next updates.

How are you going to set the neck without messing the ears up?

No FB body overlap, and shorter body, flat top..and 1 pup lent it as a better choice for the top.
With a Tele I would have had to lose frets, neck pup and move bridge up 1"..got kinda weird with that body style, DCLPJR much better.
Here's a build i did that shows the no overlap.

I didn’t read the entire thread carefully, so maybe a dumb question. But how thick is it? If it’s a drop top then set the neck into the body before gluing on the top. You can make the mortise nice and long. Once glued, plane it down flush with the body blank. Then you can glue the top on after and completely cover the mortise. I hope this makes sense.
