I'm in the process of building a Tele Deluxe, but with normal sized humbuckers.

The shape of the pick routes is no problem (i copied the body shown below), but how deep should they be? Should they have deeper sections for the "legs"?

Also, how deep for the toggle switch?

Lastly, how deep for push/pull pots?

Sorry for all the questions, but i can't find answers anywhere else.

I don't have a Fender Deluxe. You will be able to answer your own questions when you have the components in hand.

I wasn't planning to buy any components until the body was completed.

You don't need a Deluxe to answer my questions, just pickguard mounted humbuckers/toggles/push-pulls.

The actual depth of components from various manufacturers will be different. Take Jack's advice and get that stuff together first so you can measure them.

The other alternative is to just route everything as deep as you dare but I'd listen to jwells as a first option.
