    Hi there,
    I am an acoustic/electric performer.
I’ve always thought Tele Customs are beautiful. I want to buy one.
If I wanted to add a piezo Power bridge to mimic acoustic for live performances as well as a strat pickup in between the existing two pickups (for added diversity) what would be the considerations?
    Anyone seen anything like this?

    Thanks!!!!!

There’s a Nashville power deluxe model with this. I’ve never heard one.

Go for a Nashville tele already has strat middle then use this for your bridge.

In the Cigar Box Guitar community there are some pickup makers that make "Flatpups" or Flatcat pickups. They are thin(1/4") humbuckers that are made for 3 and 4 string CBG's and other types, but they also make some for 6 string guitars. They work for steel string or bronze string guitars and have excellent clean tones for simulated acoustic tones or they can handle distortion well.

A couple sellers are C.B.Gitty.com and Mgbguitars.com and a seller on ETSY Wishbringer.

The Nashville Tele would be ideal sonically, but I am in love with the Tele Custom body style.

    .

If you buy an acoustic "under the saddle" style pickup (looks like the guts out of an ink pen), remove the Tele bridge and cut a shallow groove to sandwich the acoustic pickup between the bridge and body you'll have an acoustic-electric output tone. You can wire it to the same guitar output jack by adding a toggle switch. You will want to get a small pre-amp for the pickup and find a place to stash the pre-amp battery in the guitar. Or make an external box like a pedal with the preamp in there for when you want to do that. I've seen small pre-amps for this on ebay that are less than $5 and about the size of a US Quarter. The 9-volt battery for the pre-amp is the most challenging to stash.

Was just checking for clarity that's all, the custom tele must be the girl and the tele custom must be the Boys as there just plain ugly imo 4 knobs on a tele is just wrong and that scratch plate makes me shudder. Where as custom tele is one of the most beautiful guitars ever made especially a 59 .
