Hi guys, first time user. I suppose this has been bashed to death, but I'm always having problems getting to the pickup selector switch quickly on my tele, so I decided to remove the volume pot back towards the tone pot ,drilled a hole in the middle ,had to turn the vol pot 180 degrees, extend the wiring to fit, found a nut and bolt to snuggly fit the hole, first grinding down the head of the bolt which I'll get chromed further on down the track, put it back together , now I'm happy with it, here's a couple of pics, hope this helps

Surely easier to have bought a blank plate and drilled where you needed ?

    Excellent DIY - and welcome!

if you ever feeling like getting creative in the furure - you could add a mini toggle (ie phase) switch to the plugged hole.

    cheers!

Nice and precise! I like it.

The Rockrabbit plate looks cool, too; the angled switch slot has been a thing for a while now, but I've never seen the controls laid out in that order before.

Cutting a square hole is a bit trickier...
