I know I have seen a few set up like this, and I believe I would prefer it myself. Where can I buy a Telecaster control plate that puts the pots on the ends with the three-way switch in the middle?

I've never seen such a plate. I know you can buy blank plates but cutting the switch slot wouldn't be easy for the average builder.

Unless he owns a drill and a Dremel. ;)

Personally I like mine flipped with the switch in the back.

Marc Rutters will make you one. I just flip the plate.

If I wanted a switch in the middle and it had to be a knife type switch, I wouldn't hesitate to go to Marc Rutters. Like the Fezz, I just prefer to switch the plate so the switch is at the bottom. I do keep the volume control at the top.

personally i don't like the flipped bridge, because even if you flip the volume and tone controls and the switch (so volume is first, then tone, and then the switch with up still being neck) i find it hard to roll on or off the tone pot while the switch is in the up position. i think the only switch layout that works for volume AND tone rolloff with my pinky would be the standard layout.

then again a BUNCH of people go with flipped plates, and i would sure be interested to see the switch in the middle=)

This is true. Marc Rutters will make you a plate with the center hole (between the switch and end hole) moved in a touch so there is more clearance between the knob and switch. I think he wants $35 but not sure.

Does anyone sell a plate with a switch slot but no holes?
