    1. What is your favorite color?
    ( including sunburst )
    2. What is your least favorite color?
    3. What is the highest used color?
    4. What do you think is the "fad" color right now?

    Here's my answers:

    1. Vintage transparent blonde is by far my favorite.
    2. Probably candy apple red or midnight blue
    3. I would think butterscotch
    3. I'd say the fad color is sea-foam green. Which I like a lot.

PS I also like sonic blue a lot.

    1. The 60's (whitish) Blonde (actually it was called "Blond" in the 60's).

    2. (Probably) Antigua.

    3. Variations of Blond(e). That includes Butterscotch Blonde.

    4. Same as 3. (I think). I really have no idea ...

    2. BSB

    3. BSB/Blonde as said above.

    4. Fad colours? Not sure. Teles often seem to stick to more traditional colours.

    1. Crimson Burst
    2. Vintage Blonde
    3. Sunburst
    4. Vegas Gold

I had a '96 Crimson Burst Tele that I let go. One of my big regrets. If I were to replace it with something from the line up now, it would be the Crimson Red Transparent. The black guard and maple neck, Classy. I like to see the wood and I like that crimson color.

I'm not a fan of the vintage blonde that is used on the American Specials. Of course a year ago I wasn't a fan of BSB so things change.

Over the weekend I started seeing pictures of the Vegas Gold Baja Teles. I hope this color hangs around for a bit, but I'm thinking its days are probably numbered. If I were buying today it would be a tough call between Crimson Transparent and Vegas Gold.

    1. What is your favorite color? Orange. Not a traditional color, but I love orange guitars. Red and its variations are a close second.
    2. What is your least favorite color? Black. It's just boring.
    3. What is the highest used color? Blonde or sunburst.
    4. What do you think is the "fad" color right now? Blonde is definitely the fad color for Teles right now. A few years back you had to get a 52RI to get a blonde finish, and now they're available at every price point.

    1. Aged Oly' white with a WBW guard so you can really see how aged it is.
    2. Don't care for any of the midnight wine, burgundy, maroon type colors - ick.
    3. BS blond
    4. Rustic ash, (like the see through sonic blue, surf green, and maple tones. Nice, but in a decade they will just be the day glow equivalent of 2013-14.

    1. 3 way tie. 60s blonde, early blackguard yellowish blonde, and pink paisley.
    2. black
    3. Butterscotch
    4. Blonde. The '58 RI and '64 RI finally bring the blonde to the AV line. We've all wanted it for years, but it seems to be the one everyone gravitates towards here. In 15 years from now will this be the pumpkin butterscotch we're all sick of from the old '52 RI?

I'm red-green colorblind, so I tend to steer clear of solid colors. I see colors, just not as many different ones as most people.

The Blackguard-style butterscotch blond is definitely the favorite. Sunburst with white binding is in second place. And I wouldn't rule out a Les Paul gold top.

I like a nice grain pattern. Book matched curly maple burst is good. Quilt is not. On a neck, some curly grain or some birds eye looks good if it's not extreme.

I finished my swamp ash partocaster with an oil stain (aged varnish color) to pop the grain, then Minwax honey pine poly one coat just to seal up the surface against dirt and moisture. It's a three piece USACG body, and the grain match is so good I have to look at the end grain to find the seams. :)

Least favorite? Any solid color except olympic white.

I'm seeing a lot of hate for BSB.
I like butterscotch but do agree the glossy ones don't look as good.

I also agree you couldn't find vintage white blonde a few years ago. Not sure if its the fad though.
