Just, wow. Fantastic set, superb musicianship...
It's almost 3 hours, so be prepared to lose a lot of time. ;)

    Hi.

    Thanks. Currently on. Loud!

Tedeschi Trucks Band are kinda odd for me - I doubt I'd ever purchase their music, as it's not quite what I like to listen to.

But, having said that, I'd love to see them live. And, I'm enjoying this video (whatever jammy bit is currently playing sounds really good & I'm totally digging it).

Don't know a whole bunch about them, so I might have to see if they have any good live albums.

    So, I said

So, I just bought both live albums.

One on iTunes Japan (the newest one).

And 'tuther as a real life CD, coming from the UK with free shipping, cos it was only US$12.71 / £9.87. That made it US$11.06 / £9.51 cheaper than iTunes Japan!

Thanks again to Ron R for starting this ball rolling.

I love their music! I've never seen them live together, but I've seen Susan Tedeschi with a different backing band and have always enjoyed her music live and with the Tedeschi Trucks band on recordings. But all our tastes differ, so it's just my 0.05!

Love them. I really liked each of them individually when they played with their own bands. Together they're exceptional. A living example of the sum of the parts being greater than the whole...or somethin' along those lines. The other musicians in the TTB are equally accomplished as Derek and Sue. Am listening to their live CD Everybodys Talkin this morning-absolute fire. (...have tickets to see TTB in NYC next month for the first time live and am psyched for it.)

Their rather excellent rendition of the Layla material makes you wonder if they need to highly respect someone else's music to really come alive as a band.

Thanks. This may be my new favorite band. Don't tell the deadheads I said that.

That was a great set! Best I've seen them perform! They were good with Trey's band too!

I forgot what a great album that is too!

Entire festival was pretty good. I really liked Moonalice!

Side note Bob Weir is showing his age... last set kind of embarrassing. I think he just tried to do too much at 71 years old. I thought he was going to tip over and it got real uncomfortable to watch....

I saw em at Red Rocks a few weeks ago. Best concert ever, and I've been to a few. Amazing talent in that band.

Just finished watching/jamming with the Layla tribute. In one of the songs that Susan is playing lead in Daryl’s grinning and motioning for her to turn it up! What a fun Monday morning. Dog thought I got a little loud though.

Love it. Here's another clip of Sue and Derek guesting with Clapton at a show/party last summer. She grabs some lead lines and Eric looks to be pleasantly surprised and smiles as he watches her play.

    Watching again!

I noticed on the comments scrolling past some one said:

"I want somebody to look at me like Trey looks at Derek"

I've seen them live pretty much every summer for the last almost ten years. Next to LOS LOBOS, they are the best live American rock band at present.
